Leah Martensen
"A joy to interview. Like sitting down for coffee and pie to
discuss recovery and ministry with an old friend. Her music is
charismatic. Her devotion to God firmly in place. Leah has an open
invitation to be on my show any time."

Hey...this is Leah,
I wanted to leave a little personal note on my Recovery Group page (RG)
to let you know that...
This year there has been a big focus on RG's within my ministry.
I've been involved with RG Groups throughout my ministry.
Actually...that's how my ministry first started. I worked on staff
for two coffeehouses way back when there weren't really any
Christian coffeehouses to speak of. They were both in the middle of
the downtown life or otherwise known as the "red light District".
Our job was to get people off the streets from drugs and
prostitution hoping they would find Jesus somewhere in the music,
the messages, prayer and a good cup of coffee. I saw many lives
changed so...I know recovery can happen.
My own parents recovered from alcohol. Although I can say that I
have not been addicted to drugs or alcohol, I have carried scars in
my heart from people that had addictions when I was a child. As an
adult, those scars are not just wiped away. It's a process, a
recovery and Jesus has to be a part of that. God had his hand upon
my life from day one and I believe for the purpose of reaching
others for him. But, I'm not the only person He wants to use.
There's a whole world of recoverers God's just waiting to use
because there's people out there that only they can reach! I want
to see that HAPPEN!
Thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions about my Recovery
ministry or how I can be a help to your Recovery ministry, please
feel free to e-mail me.
